him.

He had the opportunity of being one of the scouts from the 50's in the 100 Years of Scouting Celebration yesterday at the Conference Center.  It was a very busy two weeks of practice, practice, practice, rehearsal and more rehearsals, another practice and then the final show.

So grateful he got to be a part of something so special.

The Wedding

The Happy Couple
(Phil's youngest Brother)
 The Cutest Moment-
when the newly married couple gave all their nieces and nephews a big group hug.

 Taking A Moment-
to capture my kids

 and their silly antics,

 he was being extra silly.
She was being extra cute.

Scenes from the Reception

-taking a break outside the reception center
-playing duck, duck, goose

Miss M also got to travel with Grandma and Grandpa for Flower Girl duty at the reception in Southern California.  Have to say we ALL missed having our little girl around the house for a few days, but glad she got to go.

There is nothing like a wedding/sealing to remind me that FAMILY is what this life is all about.  It is the most important thing.  And that includes good friends - the family we find along the way.

Summer......So Far

Summer for us starts Memorial Day weekend.
We begin by hosting our annual Family BBQ and then the next three months ahead are for exploring, camping and finding ways to cool off.

So far we have been to the cabin and the lake for a quick but much needed get-away where we had lots of fun on the boat trying out the new tube.
Of course all that playing in the water and sun makes one quite hungry so by the beach, in the shade is the perfect place to eat.
And time at the lake always includes fishing.
He caught the biggest fish.

 We celebrated Father's Day

and then our oldest spent a week at a local EFY.

Where there were (apparently) twice as many girls as boys.
The dances he attended made him oh so giddy!  And the whole week
was a wonderful experience for this young man.

We took some time for a play date in Nanna and Papa's new neighborhood.  They moved to Daybreak where the community has it's own lake and all different kinds of playgrounds.

We attended her first Dance Recital and she preformed.

 t
And last night was the Rain Gutter Regatta for our Webelos Scout.

The three kids who are still in school will FINALLY be done tomorrow.  Then on to more summer fun.

Family Soccer Party

Last Saturday, we attended his post season soccer party as a family.  All year long he has worked hard at home, at trainings and in the game and it has paid off.  His team won their division and he received most improved player.

Next soccer season will be different.  He is switching soccer clubs and teams.  We will miss the great soccer leadership and direction we found in the FORZA futbol club but he will get the chance to play with his best friend and it will be so much closer to home.

At his party all the families got together and played dodgeball.  I don't think I have played that since elementary school.  All I can say is it was fuuuuuuuuuun!  You could tell the kids really enjoyed being able to play with and against their parents.  We played for over an hour and my body paid the price the next day but I am so looking forward to when I will be able to play that game again.  Maybe for a family reunion?  That would be great fun!

Adventures

Lately, we have been adventuring in...

- Hiking -

Where the weather was perfect
but there were a few too many dogs on the trail
for my cynophobia kids.

- Being a Princess -

Where who doesn't want to dress up and
be treated like Royalty all day
and then have fun splashing around in the water!

- Friend Gatherings -

Where the name of the game was
Minute To Win It
and they had a lot of fun
just being together.

- Water Sports -

Where they are lucky enough to have an Uncle
with a boat so they can conquer
the water and the waves.
