Mid-Wash

This is what you get when you are in the middle of washing dishes,
and your 2-year old tugs on you and says
"Hold You"

Everything is put on hold,
just to hold my child,
that won't stay little for long
and won't be asking to be held for much longer.

The dishes CAN wait.
I will try again in the morning.

Well On His Way

Tonight I attended a court of honor
where our Mr. T received the rank of Life.

The only things left he has to do are
earn his remaining 5 merit badges at summer camp,
and one Eagle Project.

He has been self-motivating in Scouts
and that is why he is so close to reaching his goal of
Eagle.

And thanks to a wonderful example of a far away friend,
I had T sew on his own merit badges to his sash,
and maybe for that he can earned a sewing merit badge?

I don't know, but we are sure PROUD of this young man.

Wouldn't You Like To Be An Aussie Too?

In celebration of Australia Day, which is today,
this is me in my Grade 5 school uni
from when I attended school in Australia in 1984.

I loved my experience there,
and I love the fact that I have ties to that AMAZING Country.
So to all you Aussies out there,
especially my Mum,
Happy Australia Day!

Family Memories instead of Toys

we were celebrating Christmas, as a family,
but in a very different way.

The hubby and I decided this past Christmas to surprise the kids
and take them on a trip for their Christmas gift,
instead of doing the traditional gifts at home.

We pulled off the surprise
and spent a wonderful 5 days in sunny southern California.

The kids didn't realized where we were going until we were in the parking lot of

Legoland.

Over the next few days this is how we spent our time.

Fun Fun Fun
and GREAT Family Memories
that I know will last a lot longer than more toys.
