It's a Tradition

Last Saturday was spent in the snow packed mountains tubing.
It is an activity we do with the extended Dean Family every winter,
except for last year - can't remember why.

It takes a lot of work and time,
the planning,
the packing,
and the driving,
but it is SO worth it.

It is a FUN family activity.

Every one gets their own tube,
the tow rope takes you up
and you get to choose who you want to come down with.
Two hours of nonstop enjoyment.

This year Miss M even went down the BIG hill.
Her slightly older brother also experienced tubing for the first time,
but was finished after going down two times.

We started out all dressed up for the cold
but it turned out to be a sunny day.
So after a few runs,
the boys began to shed their extra layers,
and the sun began to melt the slope.

After our two hours were up
we gathered in the Lodge for lunch.
It was a GREAT day!
